Blog Entry: Good example of Depth of Field

I thought this was a good example of depth of field, though its clearly not artistic. The level of details contrasts a huge amount in the red car than with the green car in the back of the image. If used as a photographic technique depth of field can be a good tool.

Cube Craft Design

This is the template for my cube craft project. Its some sort of lizard guy in a suit. The main challenge was making sure I was going to be able to see the fold and cutting lines, because they are black and so is the suit. Because of this I tried to actually avoid stretching the suit over the fold lines, thus that part of the template looks kind of sloppy; but it was actually done on purpose.

Blog Entry 16: Depth

I'm working on taking photos with more depth, not just have one-dimensional images like the pictures I took of fall in Eugene. This is a weak attempt but I often find the photos I take with different layers of detail fail to show the background in any meaningful way. I'm still working on this skill..

Blog Entry 14: Cool wood and metal structure

I found this cool sculpture in a park while in Eugene a while back. Upon review I really like the contrasting materials in this piece of work. The connection between a processed metal and what seems to be a naturally occurring piece of wood juxtaposes very well within this piece of art.
